Vasilisa and Vask made their way to their new home after she had stopped by her former room in the Candidate Barracks to get her few personal items. It didn't take her long to set up her meager belongings in her new room--after all, she already knew where everything should go. Once that was done, Lissa sat on her new bed and looked at her new lifelong companion, Vask. "Well now what should we do?" she asked, not expecting an answer. He tilted his head at her; she smiled. "I don't know, either."

Sillisk had been enjoying her new home at the Weyr but had been lonely. She had wanted to head for the hatching grounds to watch as the three eggs hatched but she didn't want to leave the dark of her home just yet. Besides, they'd all be coming here once they had been fed anyhow. She sniffed at the air tentavly and pirked up her ears. Sillisa watched her mate, "What is it girl?" The gold wher gave a happy chirp as she raised from the floor and trotted out of their quarters. "So then, we have a new resident at last." Sillisa stood from her chair where she'd been working on a needle point project and followed her pet out of the room and down the hall way. She soon saw a light in one of the rooms and knew someone had to be in there for Sillisk was poking her knobby head around the door frame. The black hair young woman looked into the room, "Greets! Welcome to the Wherhold. I'm Sillisa and this nosey gold here is my Sillisk." She wasn't very good at introductions but she'd hoped this one would go well enough.

At Vask's chirp of interest, Vasilisa turned around and saw that they had visitors! She smiled. "Hello, Sillisa and Sillisk. I'm Vasilisa--Lissa or Vasya for short, whichever you prefer--and this handsome gentle-wher is Vask. Won't you come in? I know it isn't much, but at least it's clean for now." Lissa chuckled at her own joke, then pulled up two stools for them both to sit on while Vask was nosing Sillisk in curiosity. The blond-haired young woman grinned and shook her head. "I think Vask likes your Sillisk."

Sallisa smiled kindly to the young woman and chuckled lightly at her comment about the room being clean for the time being. She made her way over to the stool pulled out for her, "It's nice to meet the both of you." She glanced to the two whers makign their own introductions to one another. "Not many people know it but wher's are actually very social creatures, but only with their own kind and their handlers." She took her seat as she spoke, "So how long have you been here at Equinox Weyr?" She was going to enjoy having more human company again. Back at the Wher Hall she'd had plenty of it but since coming here she had been missing it a bit.

Vasilisa nodded in agreement to Sillisa's comment. "It certainly seems like it." She smiled. "Before now, I hadn't known that either, so I guess I was one of those people. You learn something new every day." Lissa chuckled a bit, then shook her head before looking at Sillisa. "Not long, really. I haven't been here even a month yet. How about you? How long have you been here?"
